Please remember: The workshop is free of charge, thanks to a grant from the Silver Bean Continuing Education Fund, however, registration is required to ensure we have enough materials for attendees.
If you wish to have lunch on-site, the cost is $10 per person, by advance registration only. (Please note any food allergies or dietary needs you have.)
CEU credits will be issued by the American Baptist Churches of Vermont/New Hampshire upon your attendance of the entire day's event (10 AM to 2:30 PM).

The First Baptist Church of Bennington, Vermont, is pleased to announce an Advent planning workshop for preachers and other worship planners on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. The Rev. Dr. William R. Herzog II, Professor of New Testament at the Andover Newton Theological Seminary, will lead the workshop, exploring the Revised Common Lectionary texts for Advent 2010, with particular focus on the Sunday gospel readings. Dr. Herzog will offer two one-hour sessions in the morning and offer a sermon in the final session in the early afternoon.
This ecumenical workshop is free of charge to any clergy or church leaders interested in attending. An advance RSVP is required for attending the workshop to ensure enough materials are prepared for all attendees. An optional on-site lunch ($10) is available by advance registration only. All registrations must be submitted by Friday, October 1, 2010. Registration forms are available for download via www.fbcbennington.org. The church office may be contacted via fboffice@sover.net or 802/442-2105. The office is staffed weekdays, 9 AM to 3 PM. Continuing education credits (CEUs) will be offered.
The First Baptist Church of Bennington, Vermont, is located at 601 Main Street in downtown Bennington. The congregation offers this workshop in conjunction with the Southwest Association of ABC Vermont/New Hampshire churches. Workshop speaker costs are underwritten by a generous grant from the Silver-Bean Fund, a continuing education fund of the American Baptist Churches of Vermont/New Hampshire.
